Promise Me

A promise not for just myself but a an everlasting promise for us. "A dreams a wish your heart makes"

    

   Wishing with my heart, dreaming from 

   the start... 

But I've never felt more awake. 

I'll do whatever it takes just please 

don't let my heart break. 

I promise, that in good times And in bad

 I'll always be hear to hold your hand. 

To be there for you with open arms.

 I promise that in sickness and in health... 

for richer or for poorer. 

I will love you more and more.

 Promise me that you won't take my heart

 without giving yours. 

Promise you won't leave me, 

alone and afraid leaving me to fend for myself. 

Promise me you''ll always protect me. 

That's all it takes. Make no mistake. 

Even today, you leave dreaming 

while I'm wide awake. 

Taking me where the angels fly.

 I promise, even when we're old and grey, 

you will still be the reason why 

I believe and will forever keep wishing 

with my heart, cause you had me 

dreaming from start. You will 

forever have my heart.

This is my promise to you.

 Forever can pass by so fast like a 

summer breeze, 

because with you here 

with me, time seem fly. 

I will love you eternally

cause our love is 

 so strong, it will out live you and me.

This forever promise between you and me

Hello all, I am finally finding some time to go threw some of my read requests and I wrote this poem today!! I really hope you all enjoy it. The inspiration of this poem was from the quote, "A dream is a wish your heart makes." A dream in itself is a wish and a wish is a dream. When you have something your heart, never hold it back. A promise is something sacred and although the promise can be broken, the people don't need to be because anything that was promised can still be done. So forever dream, write your hearts desire and never forget... dreaming is believing.

I feel you on the read requests. I have not been on in quite a while so i am going through the last 100! LOL I loved the pace and rush of this poem. If you read it quickly it is like a person just screaming to the top of their lungs I LOVE YOU! It has imagery, pace, and power. I did spot a word that you may need to change hear/here and you missed a the at one point. Those are minor editorial issues that we all have. The poem is still just plain good! LOL Keep up the great writing
