I'm a star

Just as bright as you,

Special and unique,

Shining just as strong.

You used to bring me down,

Make me lose my shine,

Make me become a shadow,

But now I'm a star.

Shining bright,

Head of the stars,

Being the favourite,

Being the special one.

I'm a star,

Special and unique,

Free and wild,

 Just plain old me.

I like this a lot, you did really well with the star being the person. Love this part:
"You used to bring me down,
Make me lose my shine,
Make me become a shadow,"
... very nice ending as well, love that last stanza too.
