Queen Of Betrayal.

Queen Of Betrayal.

A Poem by Darkest Rose

One thousand days,
Of love,
Hate,
And betrayal.

One stick for each day,
One curse for each moment,
One word for each betrayal,
One word that will bring her down.

Locked in,
Awaiting death,
Losing control,
Lost in the tracks of death.

Promised release,
Promised life,
Betrayed again,
Sentenced to death.

Walking the steps,
Saying her piece,
Laying down her head,
Throwing out her arms.

And then....
The swing...
That ends...
                               Her precious life.

Author's Note

Darkest Rose
I wrote this about Anne Boleyn, Henry the VIII's second wife, and Queen of England for one thousand days. I'm a big fan of history, manly the famine in Ireland and the Tudors. So I wrote this poem about Anne Boleyn and I think I summed it up well.

Her story was a sad one. She was really married to a true pig!
Beautiful poem.

Love this! I learn new things every day! I really liked the Tudors and find them fascinating and find this very interesting and really well written :) And to finish it off i adore poems with really potent, meaningful messages which you portray superbly! I hope you write more of these historical poems! if so message me so i can read them :)
