He Took Me Down

                           

 Lost in the world,

 Lost in the darkness.

 I hid from the devil,

 But he took me down.

 I once had my hopes,

 Had my dreams,

 Had my love,

 But he took me down.

 

 I hid from the pain,

 From the hurt,

 From the shame,

 But he took me down.

 Once high in place,

 And so full of grace,

 But he took me down.

 The devil,

 The darkness,

 The thing full of hate,

                                                                    Took me down...
