Frankenstorm

Frankenstorm

A Poem by Rorenzu
"

I offer this poem to the people who were greatly damaged by Sandy. High Hopes!!

"
"Frankenstorm"

Devastated and anguished,

I was fashioned and created

By the supreme Queen, Mother Nature

For everyone to feel how she was tortured

Worse than sum of my parts

Terrible and the ugliest thing any eye can sight

Surely everyone will regret

The things I've done you will never forget

Behold, as I wake up and flight

Vengeance is coming with a colossal might

Chains and shackles were on tight

My creator is ready for an exchange of fight

Beware for a one last advice

I shall return for an echoing slice

For  whosoever peril my creator in territorial

You will be perish from the time immemorial

This has fantastic imagery and it's greatly written. The words you've chosen give this poem both power and intensity.

when nature strikes! the highest power has always it's way to remind humanity that there is a supreme being up there all along at times of forgetfullness. this has been a part of everything. a part of the plan.

Interesting imagery and perspective on this event.

I feel like there could be a bit more control in your structure, such as line rhythm and rhyme scheme. Wording could be strengthened or tidied up as well. Though I dare say that wasn't the first thing on your mind as you wrote it - it was probably fueled much more by the inspiration of the event, and words just flowed out. While I think that's great, I'd recommend revisiting it now that it has sat a while, if you have the mind to.

Anyways, just some thoughts. I can elaborate more about what I mean if you desire.

Nice. As terrible as it may sound, but each one of these I have lived through, be it earthquake, fire, flood, wind, it is still a time of destruction combined with cleansing. Your words act as a reminder!

This is a great poem! I enjoyed reading it and really like the symbolism and references you have throughout. It paints a good image of the storm and the struggles associated with it. Great job!

This poem was amazing. It's really powerful and kind of... "Looming," for lack of better word. The flow wasn't perfect, but as a whole this poem is great.

I'm happy I read this.

A powerful poem. Mother Nature can destroy and create life. I like the strong statements and the true ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
