Tired

Tired

A Poem by Liz

She's probably just tired
But deep underneath those eye bags are days of sleepless nights
Bags so heavy from holding back a flood of tears
So tired of seeing her heart so broken
Till eventually resting them
And yet waking up puffier than before they fell asleep

Her eyes a little sad than usual
She's probably "just tired"
No, not that kind of tired
It's the kind that no quick nap can fix, nor days of sleep

She's got eyes that sparkle like a diamond
Eyes that don't only hold her beauty but reflects her golden heart
But pay closer attention and you'll realize...
They they hide a million tear drops.

Maybe she's just a little tired
So don't ask why she's looks so down today
She's tired of trying to keep up with the highs all the time
And always having to put a smile as a front.

So yeah I am a little tired today
And I probably won't smile, anyway...
That's ok
Just know I'm a little bit tired
