HeldA Poem by LizThere comes a point when all you want is someone who can just carry you through the night, no words, no questions asked, just someone who automatically understands.I just wanna be held No words, no questions asked, just held. I wanna feel the warmth and comfort through this cold dark night And watch as my world come to a stand still How this sombre and gloomy ambiance fades, even if it's only just for a second. And in that silence, hear a soft breeze whisper that everything will be ok And feel the universe echo with aplomb I just wanna be held Yet I'm afraid that you might be too close within my radius And I won't be able to hold it together anymore. Yes, I fear that I'll lose it all in that moment. That I'll divulge and exude beyond the ambit of my pain And that you'll descry the holes within my heart Pain so palpable you won't wanna let go. But as long as I am held... My sorrows seem so languished as though dispensed, And bisected so that it's almost as though I carry only half the weight. For a second it's almost as though flashes of rainbow adds some color And promises sunshine and a frabjous sound in greener pastures soon to come And brings hope that this too will pass. I don't wanna be alone, I just wanna be Held © 2020 LizAuthor's Note
