"I knew"

A poem about life.

Long ago,

my heart withered away,

it dissolved like the snow,

when it comes in contact with rain,

I fell into a dark place.

Silence, was allowed to come in and stay,

cold, cold temperature,

alone, I felt the pressure,

arguments, when I called her,

why was I so far away?

why couldn't I just leave

and come back and stay?

I made a choice, and

changed, so I stayed in that dark place,

and despite the pain,

I learned, and learned

and learned some more.

No matter how hurt,

I knew that there was no greater love

than that of The LORD,

I knew that once I matured,

that I would be transformed.
