Little Dark Haired Girl

Little Dark Haired Girl

A Poem by RonE317

The little dark haired girl is gone

The little dark haired girl

The little

The dark

Gone

It’s night again and time for bed

It’s night again and time

And still she is not next to me

And still she is not next

And still

And still…

I can’t forget her scent

Or the velvet warmth of her skin…

I miss her

I'm not very good at analyzing poetry, but something in the way you've written this adds to the message conveyed by words. It seems sparse, with pieces missing, like the dark-haired girl who's no longer there. Very effective, I'd say.

I relate to this because my wife and I are apart while her visa is processing and its all the little things I miss the most
