Syncopation Pending

Syncopation Pending

A Poem by Rory CJ Frankson

One step out of place...

Damn it, one heart beat out of time

from my dream... that's not all it seemed

In a life, that was not meant for me

lovers, lost in traffic

the noise

of nothing, that was messing with my head

I couldn't name, there was no blame... no shame

in being cut to pieces, by a razors edge

to a world, I could not pledge

resistance

she whisper

tender tears

Yes, as we walk and the Gabriel's of Existence dance, upon our tombs

only caress, what we may assume left behind

as we, dance...

among the stars

At a well pleasured distance... watch, the tiny dancers.

Only dreams, only dreams, and no recreational themes play upon the backdrops

Sometimes, you can't expect sunshine

without rain

The tears roll down my widow, outside

begins to unravel, splinter strained and stray

So listen to Whiter Shade of Pale and desert my delusion awhile... try to smile.

The pain rolls down the window, outside

it begins to wail... just messing with my trails refrain

Baby, got them low down blues blowin

again... can't have sunshine. Without a little rain, to stay sane
