Hope

Hope

A Poem by Rory CJ Frankson
"

That place that is held in refection

"

Mindless violence bends

the light, toward a darkened end.

Just as does the longing of heart

yearn, in the ways to peace.

Eased from the shadows

hollow form, hiding in between.

Fated futures cannot be retained

in silence, numbed truce.

Called whispered choice

pleading, long histories reason.

Echoes reverberate past lonely

screamers, need to know.

It holds to some meaning

this path, towards a quickening.

Murmuring winds that do tease

to blend, sendings uttered.

Some hope to its promise

remembered, in light upon light.

Five stanzas to give in measures

moment, not surrendered.

Ro, hello-
I felt a little sadness reading this ...if only we could write peace all over this world into being .. this one would go far if we could.

They do need to know .. the first image is one of ugliness and horror like war.. the last image seems as if the ugliness is rising and peace ascending.. it is a poem of wisdom and beautifully written.

Deeply carved stones and checkered thrones
Clash closer to home than one man's dome
Densely piled pillows pushing past willows
Grown on their own and blessing each zone

...an inspiring piece...

This is a great poem.
Ironic that I happened upon it at the same time I am making drastic changes in my directives.
Hope springs eternal they say, and I suppose that I cannot argue with this.
In spite of years of mindnumbing horror and soul killing anguish, I have not presented, nor have my peers, a single thing of Evil that anyone gave a crap about.
But it exists! I hollered.
I'm busy with my 'thing', they said.
over and over and over again.
But ya know what?
I was the fool, and the tool, here.
And I was manifesting the very things I hate, in the process.

Grow a hope garden everyone.
I have spearmint, aloe vera, and a peach tree that is blossoming.
Thank you, Rory.
Your tune has reached my ear.

Words of power speak of choices for the world to make; choices that begin with each of us. Each of us must choose to sow fury and anger in the world or to emit the calming light of peace. For each that choose peace, a grain of sand, eventually, we will have a mountain. I am always reminded of John Lennon who wrote, "All I am saying, is give peace a chance."

Hope is always that which we live for.Yet reality so often extinguishes all hope.I suppose we all want the best but expect the worst. In this day and age it is so sad that we do not have a more interactive government of the people. Why cant we use the internet to govern ?

ahh a brilliant write - hope is what saves us - yet is born out of darkness - hope is fuelled by feelings of failure and inadequacy if we didn't anticipate them we wouldn't need hope!! a flickering flame on the seas of Black!! brilliant!

Hope is what lifts us onto new roads, new fields and to see through new eyes.
Hope is the force that brings to us courage, enlightenment and a beacon which was can see, even far off into the distance.

A remarkable piece!

Surely peace is something won by the gentle hand and equally gentle thought .. and, hope is what takes the being there?

Your words dig deep -- maybe too deeply in places and that's why you use that picture .. ' Echoes reverberate past lonely ~ screamers, need to know.'

Hope in a promise, isn't that wonderful? Your parallels are gorgeous. The heart does yearn for peace, well most do. The picture will give me nightmares, but it is very suitable and apt for this piece.
Stunning thoughts :-)
