Standing delivered, reaching. For a never ending dream
surreal is the appeal salvation, as reality. Screams
shell shocked. To find the path revealed, sealed
there is no way out, no repentance pealed
our perception back, to unlikely scenes
played out. This passion plays remorse
of course, of course I see only me
standing at its shore forelorn, I
long to know more... no more
tis blinding, this revealed.
To read and ponder the everlonger and feel, through that. Which is seen.

Projected, for the eternal soul. Spirit rides, the seventh tide....
and I shiver...
[The grave can wait]

And such inspiration indeed, Rory. What a vastness to your words.. taking us across life.. the dreams unfulfilled.. the days yet to come.. Reaching for more, there is a sense of loneliness here.. longing... What a wondrous flow and form you've given this piece, and then flooded it with brilliant imagery and depth!

This piece rivals those of Frost. Very well written.

I recognize so many words from Poppy's poetry. Your final line is powerful, in anticipation of some grand, yet feared, event.

I have searched for answers. Always found more questions. Reality can steal our dreams. So many statements I like in this poem. When I was young. Death was far away. Today I do things with wisdom and try not to wound many people. I like the ending. Your words made me think this early morning. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
