New EraA Poem by Romeion CaseThese are wild and dangerous times my lady, dense and unpredictable as the west wind, Forgive the hand that shakes the willow, Trust the hand that fluffs thy pillow, These are wild and dangerous times my sister, Gauge your emissions, Revisit your religion, This land is not for all, Freedom is not free for all, These are wild and dangerous times my brother, His walk tense with the emotions of times past, Each step as painful as the next memory, Hands stained; the color of unanswered dreams, The only masculine part left of him hangs between, These are wild and dangerous times my friend, She calls her children home, Her cries whittling away at their frayed existence, But she can heal all, They let go of themselves and bequeath all, To un-hushed cries and stained nappies. © 2010 Romeion CaseAuthor's Note
