You had to be there

You had to be there

A Poem by Blackwood

In the Single Lines

3 stretching the stage

They spin flip and tap and stomp to that smooth rhythm

Swing

That cool jive

40’s tunes

That old school

The brass beauties bringing down the house

The thump thump

Pairing off they focus tight

Twist and turn hoppin

And holler

Beaming the smiles of a sly cat in the groove

They break and double take

Shooting in that cool breeze

Taking a drag and swiggin on that jack

And its just chill doll

Real chill
