Our Fairytale

Our Fairytale

A Poem by Linda Phillips
"

Written in a depressed state.

"

I used to think you were my everything; my stars in the night sky, my other half, the yin to my yang. But now I don’t know; we were happy once upon a time, but now it seems as though our fairytale could be coming to an end.

We wanted our fairytale to have our happy ending; we wanted a life without any tears or fears but now all their seems to be is pain and hurt. Please just embrace me this one last time, let me feel you warm body encase my own in your arms. Let my tears fall upon your shoulder, just as we say goodbye for the last time.

We fell from the right path of life, from a place where we used to be together as one. Now the cards have been shuffled back into the deck, happiness and love have been replaced in this fairytale with misery and hate in this new hand that’s been dealt. Our fates have now gone from perfect to terrible. We know this is the end, and these cards are destiny’s final hand.

We walked the way that destiny had given us, apart we are now but never completely gone from each other’s life.  We lost our happiness, we lost our true smiles; we had made our world’s perfect, but know those fairytale worlds are over. Somebody please help me make all this right, help us get a new path to walk.

I see your face bury its way into my dreams, I see the memories that we tenderly shared together. I see the soft, butterfly kisses you placed upon my cheeks, the passionate kisses you placed upon my lips, the feeling of your arms bring my body close to yours; these memories bring me back to the day when we were both in love and living in a now lost fairytale. Oh, if only we were still in our perfect fairytale world, then the madness of reality wouldn’t rip us apart.

You are most welcome.
I was enlightened by your lovely story.
i love the message but this is more of a monologue than a poem never the less there is a strooong sense of emotion in here and it builds up in subtle doses which i like =)

i look forward to seeing more!

Well like my profile says, my name is Linda and I'm a highschool student. I guess my sterotype persona would be scenomo, a happy emo but still fairly emotional. I'm a fan of anime especially ones .. more..
