6. There are three children sitting on a log near a stream.
One of them looks up at the sky and says…
" I caught a falling star, tonight,
and held it in my palms.
I whispered all my hopes and dreams
and then I passed it on. "
"I took your wish upon your hands
and placed it in my heart.
Then passed it to our dear friend,
who held it from the start"
"It turned into a fish, I swear!
It slipped from my grasp!
Then jumped into the stream somewhere,
and swam away real fast!
How I wished I kept that fish,
and held it very tight...
Now your hopes and dreams are lost
and I'm the reason why"-
" All is not lost, dear friend.
My wish had just come true!
Nothing is ever truly lost,
when I've got the both of you...
From a little stream to the the rivers of life.
We may go our separate ways,
but the little fish, we thought we've lost
will help us find our way,
and drift us back
to this timeless stream...
down in our memory lane...
To remember a time, not so long ago
where as children, we used to play.
When we sat on a log near a stream,
in the quiet of the night.
Just dreaming of a place
where innocence swims,
and wishes come to life.
Then someday
when our rivers meet.
We will never be apart.
For nothing, is ever truly lost.
Once it touched your heart."
even as children we get our hearts touched, so lightly yet with such an imprint that we never forget.
i would really like to see this poem with illustrations...it would make a great start for a children's story, for sure.
we catch dreams, we catch falling stars, and they are best when we share them.

This is such a wonderful story and I enjoyed reading this so much. This just shows how far a child's imagination can go. I loved it! Please keep up the good work!

A broken promise.
I took a long drive to lose myself
I found myself.
And got lost anyway.
I'm not where I'm supposed to be,
but the road is long,
My gas is on
Empty.
And so I walk,.. more..
