I awoke
on a vast amethyst sea
soaking in
the golden sunset
over waves
of brilliant violet
the weight of the world lifting
with the rays of the sun
painting the skies
in dazzling hues
I gathered it,
in a conch shell
I held in my hands
for tomorrows
when the seas get too rough
then I watched as the sun dipped down
behind the horizon
in wistful, swirls of distant sunsets
as the currents carried me away
to a little island
surrounded by pink shimmering sands
where I swayed
in a hammock under the shade
of a coconut tree
paper and pen
and a notebook of dreams
sipping in
the sweet cool waters
of its seed
and bathing
in
the ambient glow
of amethyst
In the Isle
of my dreams
