Poisoned WordsA Poem by RomaJ
I couldn't stop myself
The venom spewing from my mouth Flowing like hot lava Obliterating everything I loved I hurt him. I was more angry with myself So tired of being hurt and disappointed Years of Toxins Built over time Left battery acid On my tongue Poisoning my words I cradle my chest Trying to stop my heart From exploding The sun The bright shimmering sun It's rays Beckons me The heat Comforting Trying to soothe The inner turmoil Of fiery ice Raging inside I stare out my window Listless Its serene setting Mirrored the complete opposite of the chaos churning inside my head The guilt Consuming I can't even bring myself to cry © 2015 RomaJAuthor's Note
