Drops of ColorsA Poem by RomaJ
I awoke from a dream,
with the taste, of a haunting melody, dancing on the tip of my tongue. Like sweet honeyed wine. My heart sings its sweet refrain. I can't recall its tune. Just its taste. And a kaleidoscope of colors, playing like a symphony. Yearning for me to paint its words. I stand at my easel, blank as the canvas before me. Like a fleeting thought, It clips its wings and escapes my parted lips. Like drops of colors fallen from my brush. I am left, incomplete. Devoid of the passion that could've been. My heart weeps its memory, longing to be set aflame © 2015 RomaJAuthor's Note
