Shards of Words

The blank sheet of paper
lay perfectly still

There are no words to describe,
for words have no meaning,
to the words that burnt inside

emotions burn, the lead on the pencil,
yearns to dance a long its lines,
to sing sweet memories of you
that linger, on her restless mind

How she wished, she could've changed that paper.
Erased every painful line,
begin it with the sweetest words and end it with a rhyme.

but the memories cut like a razor

and the words, just shards of glass

as the tears,
bleed
down
the paper
it smeared and blurred the lines

for the words left unspoken
never saying goodbye.
The pencil she held, lie broken
like the heart that bleeds inside

i remember feeling this kind of loss...and trying to write about it...often the muse gets mute...
and the feelings just bottle up....like there really are no words to describe the emotions...

So sad, really encompasses the feeling when you're at a loss for words to describe how you're feeling inside. I feel that way often and just keep writing until something decent comes of it. I'm sorry for your loss, whomever it might have been

Thank you again Glow. You know that saying, we often hear it a lot and I even use it casually but never really putting any weight to the words. After all, it's just words. Never thinking it would happen to me especially so soon. " not to take loved ones for granted" those words sting me like salt and vinegar to an open wound. I realized what a stubborn little girl I am and it hurts :) but I take solace that he's in a better place. I often dream of him there:)
