Maelstrom

Maelstrom

A Poem by RomAnna

My being is filled with uncertainty and fear.

And my physiological is a free spirit.

Life has something to tell me, Revere.

But what I need, I can’t find " the quiet.

The thunder speaks and its voice is calming.

It’s natural, familiar, and timeless.

I pray and turn to the ancient psalms,

But all of this energy is boundless.

Crack! The bolt of lightning shocks the earth

And I feel a jolt of adrenaline.

I’m learning how to appreciate my worth,

But it’s yet a value still unmeasured from within.

Help me Lord to find the answers

to questions that I haven’t figured out.

I need your love, grace, and candor

Until then, I’m waiting for a revelatory handout.
