                      Evil Inside

The evil inside, of man as we know

It hides in some and never to show

Others welcome the chance to prove

That the gift inside has to grow

 

They honor the greed that makes them feel strong

Raping their soul with its breath

Eating them slow, turning them cold

 Bringing them down to its depths

 

 

Pulling the hate close to you

They let their guard down with it too

Feeling the rage it pressures them with

 They sink into blackness straight thru

 

As hope is all gone, the end seems in sight

 When they think it is done, they think its their right

As the struggle to climb from their life in this pit

The evil inside brings them down.
