Down Inside

Down Inside

A Poem by Evel

Believe in yourself, for all that you are

For all that you aren't, will eat you  inside

The line between them just like your life

Is for all that your worth, split like a knife

The soul of yourself is brought to the edge

Forever holding the light that is dead

Bringing yourself warmth to feel alive

As time goes by, as your feelings cry

The loss you feel dies too with time

You lie to yourself, deep down inside

Your soul weeps for the fear that you hide

Beside yourself you feel like you died

With light no more, darkness you feel

Hiding your eyes when it seems all to real

Far inside, the coldness brings in

A part of you that you'ld rather forget

Alone again as you reach for yourself

Nothing to feel,  greed is your wealth

Not wanting to escape the darkness  in pain

You settle for comfort from nothing to gain
