Scarlet bare

Scarlet bare

A Poem by Roland Sivar
"

Surfing in Britain

"
See the world in your last breath
A sweet secret
Seen in situ
A heartbeat between a dream
And white wrath

A little piece of death

Hark now the deeps throat rumbles
It is dark and endless
Lamenting in despair
A thousand white horsed hooves
Upon you bare
Wise old rock remains
Never to care
For fickle flesh, scarlet bare

We have not warmth
Rare the suns glare here
We've limestone cliffs
Seal pups even stare
Of the edge
From the deeps coldest grip we tear
Free of fickle flesh, laid to waste and scarlet bare
