Thus, thy love lost.

Thus, thy love lost.

A Poem by Roland Sivar

Thus, thy love lost
Cast unto the shore
And through casting lost
As any pebble I have warmed
Between my hands before
Through tumult crashing down
Loves weight to erode
The lip speaks its death
Never destiny sought
Nor to control
One track of footsteps in the sand
But I am no burden held aloft
By heavenly or loving hand
My feet my only carriage
My burden borne
Alone to stand
And stand he must
My soul implores
