The great divide.A Poem by Roland SivarThis is a poem about how waves are made and progress across the ocean to break. The memory of the wind.Long ago the wind did breathe And blow into an awful din Seas did raise, and rock and break Her memory trapped within Waves did roll And scatter forth Dispersing far and wide To end their lives on foreign shores Across the great divide What words she spoke Long ago Are lost upon the tide And mortal being's carried forth Like waves, only to die Her wisdom fails to reach their ears Caressing, from the sky She sends a taste of immortals joy Across the great divide
