The Awkenings of A Subtle Mind

The Awkenings of A Subtle Mind

A Poem by Rohin
"

A poem on enjoying life

"

Oh! My tender heart,

I know why you are so morose.

Why you cry out.

It’s because of the regret,

That you hadn’t lived life your life to its fullest.

Like a rose in a garden,

As it finds its path, as it finds its direction.

You had lived, to wake up one day,

To find that the rose had withered away.

With none to lament.

It’s now, when you are about to die,

That you cry.

But, you have the awakening,

That the story could have had a different ending.

You are awake than all,

To find that you haven’t lived at all.

Looking back at your past

You realize, the shadow that had been cast.

That you had lived for everyone,

But forgot to live for your own,

To find you had become a stranger to yourself.

It’s now that you realize,

That you had forgotten the wonderment of life.

But there is still time for change,

That you can enhance this image,

Of yourself on the mirror of life.

To call yourself alive again.
