Strings That Tie To You

Strings That Tie To You

A Poem by Rohin
"

A lover pours his heart out after being separated from his true love while strolling through a park. He is reminded of her presence, her beauty and the ambiance he felt while she was with him.

"

As I walk through this stone trodden road,

I see the wrinkled bark of the trees.

I walk on these withered leaves.

That reminds me of the emptiness.

That makes me feel the lifelessness.

Inseparable as the bee and flower.

Why did you go away?

Leaving me alone to linger.

You said that it was only an enticement.

How I couldn’t understand your excitement?

Everything changed so fast,

You made me feel like an outcast.

It’s now that I feel this regret.

Why didn’t I do my best?

It’s now that I feel your importance,

It’s now that I seek your presence.

You were like the crisp air,

My heart is in such despair.

It’s this pain that I can no longer bear.

I’m still walking through this road,

I feel like a guitar’s broken chord.

I still cannot forget you,

I still cannot hate you,

Because there are still strings that tie to you.
