The Division

The Division

A Poem by ShadowedSoul

The Division

For it is ripped and torn away

The time and chance no more to be

And it had once upon a day

The choice to make; to be to see,

Yet torn asunder, none to say,

It was divided; lost of heart,

There was no dreams to play their part

For hopes did fall down dark below

Into the depths: its loss distorts;

Thus now asunder; naught to show.

Where darkness falls to thus hold sway

Those pictures warped with naught to see;

Separated, ripped all the way…

With what connecting once a ‘we’?

For there it was… never to be.

It was divided; lost of heart

Shredded and broken, far apart,

Yet what care did either foreshow?

It was a dream; yet now departs…

Thus now asunder; naught to show.

It never was a come what may

Or just a doorway you foresee.

It never was here or today…

Divided ever thus to be.

Broken ever: never to see.

It was divided; lost of heart

There was no goal and no support.

Yet to what end does this end go?

The loss foregone on its report

Thus now asunder; naught to show.

It's now divided, ripped apart,

It was divided; lost of heart.

Than lost to time, nowhere to grow;

It never was, yet thus it hurt…

Thus now asunder; naught to show.
