Light YearsA Poem by Roguemiss you Jean-Pierre
Oh Rocket Man we've come so far
Strapped right on in your fancy car We left the moon by way of stars Treated them all like cosmic bars Perched on the stool to my left one of those alien things Keeps trying to impress me with all of his Saturn rings Feelers all over my a*s Now you know that just ain't right Once again we'll be thrown out 'cause there's gonna be a fight Oh Rocket Man we're on our way Where we'll end up no-one can say Just traveling on come what may Children set loose to run and play I write these memories down of the times that we once knew Imaginations ran wild Thoughts combined that changed and grew On Mars I sit and listen for the old, familiar sound Of those turbo twin engines telling me you're still around Oh Rocket man what fun we had You know I don't mean to be bad Souped up drawing on a sketch pad With parts overblown just a tad © 2013 RogueReviews
