Feathered FolliesA Poem by Rogue
A beautiful bird
Perched high in an oak on a limb making his music strumming the chords dabbling in philosophy A life well suited for one such as him A beautiful bird On his branch he is pained to see a female chirping away preening her feathers An annoying intrusion that picked his tree A beautiful bird Eventually grows accustomed in time having her around drying the tears bringing a smile Assuring her she has committed no crime A beautiful bird Keeps her close within his reach holding a tiny wing at her side bound together Giving her all that he has to teach ********* The crowd cheers as he takes the stage Long, dusty hair is all the rage Wielding his axe in front of the rows She tries to fly in for all of his shows A few stolen moments out of their life She's not the one he titled with wife © 2013 RogueReviews
