PedestalA Poem by Rogue
You pushed me up so high
My fingertips touched the sky You wouldn't bring me back down To be like those on the ground I'm not the perfect person you believe I too know tricks and deceive No-one's allowed to be so great It only filled them with hate An inevitable disaster from the start Their greedy hands pulled me apart A sad ending for your Saint Not one voice raised in complaint Simply their laughter and their jeers Yet I had cared all those years A battered soul filled with grief Shattered faith and belief I've fallin. © 2013 Rogue
