The End is OverA Poem by Tyler Dean AllenStaring at the sky that watched you go insane
Exacting with the wind, my sin
My need to pretend that i'll begin, again Every time I open up my eyes, I reprise This libation cup is full of lies, pour out the sunrise
Like a void born from light as if to say: I wanted it this way Look, I've brought to you the day Plotting with the edge, my righteous non-revenge To kill the stench of death on my breathe Or at least to mask the taste with my last cigarette A cherry on the balcony like the face of an angel I ain't met To die like her expression Planning my regrets; I never learn my lesson Accept with the cauldron this shame because I'm all in Slide in slow till I can stand it, tell you that I've fallen Once again, you'll soon forget my name Join in on this game, and every night's the same Lord i'm callin' for the ghost of faith To help displace the blame, so I can leave this place Blurring with the rain, my pain Staring at the sky that watched you go insane Seldom have I shown it, to become alive just for a moment Drink to our delusion till I've grown sick Remind you like the street light's coming on Lets get gone, get on home, kids Parading with the smoke, in my cloak I smiled cuz somebody told a joke There and then the world became a bore I don't need you anymore to get lost, pay the cost Of really knowing what you live for A moment of panic in recalling that I never will be sober Choke down one more hit of wisdom And the end...
