A Poem by Rodwonder

A lock on time

A place to pause

Where have you been

Where you are going

To take a breath

Short on rest

Before the night's out

Taking in, what was read

Wanting more from words

Should go on traveling

The light pains my eye

I must read on

Sitting by my hand

Old friend

How many pages turned

How many more, to be read

This has a "Robert Frost" feel to it with his words.."Miles to go before I sleep..."
Excellent imagery and leaves the reader to think upon what is intended here. Excellent write!

Some poets write with little impact to the reader. You are not one of those poets. This poem is about a simple subject, but you made it so interesting. The flow of the poem is very easy for a reader to follow. It is written in a fashion that is easy to understand, but it also shows the intelligence of the author. Thank you for sharing this piece with us, and I plan to read more of your writing soon. (Thanks for the friend request too!)

What an interesting moment in time. I do so love these snapshots into thoughts doing the simplest of things. Really enjoyable read. Thanks.
