Endless

Endless

A Poem by Robin Dale Deatherage
"

Poem about Life.

"
Walking a dirt road.
Kicking dirt as i walk.
Dust rising upwards
A cloud of white chalk.

A road that goes nowhere.
A trail with no end.
Life take me somewhere,
Places that i ain't been.

Tempt me, explore me.
Lead me to some place.
Near or afar, as i walk on.
Show me your face.

From crossroads to ditches.
A stream or creek, to a river.
To anywhere but here.
Lead me as a bullet or quiver.

Give direction, point the way.
Show me the map in my head.
I long to find it, Endless goes on.
Does it hide, has it been said ?

Take me on forever.
This road that i take.
Winding and twisting, as life has done.
Endless forever, is there a place ?
