A Children's StoryA Story by Roderick BlakemanA friends day outabout a group of pals a dog, two cats, a tiny mouse and a family of owls The story is about the time that they went to sea on a boat that was full of holes that they got for free Before they left the harbour they loaded food for lunch because they had all missed breakfast and were a hungry bunch The doggies name was Timmy and for him there was a bone the p***y cats had flavoured treats the mouse a buttered scone The owls there were four of them and what they liked to eat were hopping little insects and sometimes bits of meat So all was ready at the quay and they untied the rope together they would have much fun at least that was their hope The boat it floated on the waves bobbing up and down but when it started sinking all the friends did start to frown They hadn’t noticed all the holes when they had got the boat and all of them were surprised when it didn't float The owls quickly flapped their wings and soared into the sky while Timmy jumped overboard and swam as he had no wings to fly The p***y cats and little mouse could neither fly nor swim and for the three remaining friends things were looking grim But Timmy was now safe and sound and running for some help he found the harbour master and gave a pleading yelp “Please come and help my friends before their boat does sink” the official looked out to sea and had a little think “We will take my boat and go to them and it looks like we must hurry” but daddy owl appeared right then and told them not to worry “I have got my fellow birds to help listen to the wails we are bringing them to safety by holding onto tails” Timmy and harbour master looked around to stare as p***y cats and little mouse came flying through the air They landed them all on the ground and nobody was hurt though little mouse was all messed up as he had landed in some dirt They had a look out to sea and all was as they feared under waves had it gone the boat had disappeared But all of them were happy and they danced around singing out with great joy that they were safe and sound © 2014 Roderick Blakeman |
