A poem reflecting the power of feelings shared through the written word...

Words left unspoken...surely now do fail.

Cannot paint the picture...trapped inside a shell.

...

Feelings not let out...ready to explode...

while conscience condescends...holding back the load.

...

Burden's now on back...carried on the shoulders...

Emotions that can weigh you down...just like heavy boulders.

...

let's not go there...let them out...let those feelings fly...

yell those words so all can hear...as you pass them by.

...

As you shout, have no doubt...this is how you feel...

so much better to unwind...all will know it's real.

...

Words now spoken...soul can heal...load is so much lighter...

suddenly the world around...surely does seem brighter.
