Spring Has Sprung

Spring Has Sprung

A Poem by Panhead Rod
"

A poem reflecting the joy of Spring finally getting here and riding to escape..

"
...
Spring has sprung...leaves turn green
Winter blues now leave the scene...
Riders who had dreams of wind,
now can smile...as if they sinned.
...
Check their bikes...change the oils...
Fill the tires so they won't spoil.
Grease the hubs...adjust the brakes.
Tune 'em up...for goodness sakes...
...
Take 'em out and make 'em run...
Test 'em good...have some fun...
Just make sure they'll get you home...
Then can worry about the chrome.
...
Some cruise slow...Some fly fast...
Some burn rubber...tires don't last.
Showin' off...to be cool.
Hard on drive train...not old school.
...
Me...I like to coast through town...
When on freeway...hammer down.
Out in country...take in views...
Lean in curves...Quite a few...
...
Love a ride through shady woods...
Sights and smells of Nature's goods.
By a river...or a stream...
These rides help me let off steam...
...
When I'm in a social mood,
get fellow riders in the 'hood...
Gather up and take a spin,
somewhere where we all can win.
...
Fellowship of rides and roads,
cutting loose our heavy loads...
Sharing laughs...Sharing lanes...
Sometimes ride to share in pain.
...
When we've lost a friend or love,
we'll ride 'neath the clouds above...
Ride to save them in our hearts...
Remembrance as soul departs...
...
Thankful that I've rode through life...
Friends have helped me deal with strife.
Bless them all...as each one rides...
Keeping angels by their side...
...
