Soul's Exasperation © 2019

A Poem by Panhead Rod
"

This poem reflects frustration about life's demands and a longing for escape...

"
...
Inner Soul's exasperation...
...trapped inside a swirl...
Yearning for it's freedom,
just like it's a pearl.
...
Yet, just like that gem,
...trapped inside a shell,
somehow being molded,
as to cast a spell...
...
Vision that's misleading,
...purpose...It not knows?
Still to those around...
they believe it glows...
...
Deep now down inside...
...feeling it can't be,
what this world expects of it.
Needs to be set free.
...
Free to venture out and live.
...So much more to life.
Without feeling obligated,
...worried, stressed, or strife.
...
Free to take in senses...
...sights or smells or tastes.
Free to live not by a clock,
...lots of time to waste...
...
Free to chose direction,
...with no place to go.
Free to just kick back...relax...
and enjoy the show.
...
Longing for this freedom,
...Life not tossed aside...
Guess that I will just get up,
and head out for a ride...
...

There is nothing like being trapped inside your own body...we all need to feel freedom in our inner soul to be able just to exist and then more to learn how to enjoy life....it's exasperating to feel like you're in a web
of frustration...that you must break that web to be free to choose, free to smell, taste, feel, laugh....
that's all part of a healthy life...
