Today is a holiday...

So I can sit and veg...

Watch the tube taking me...

right up to the edge...

...

As the clock just ticks away,

in my living room...

I will simply spend my time...

on sofa as I loom...

...

To get my exercise...

will reach out for remote...

Push the buttons... many times...

some shows I will demote...

...

Oh, I have my favs...

some shows I will not miss...

dramas and soap operas...

fill my life with bliss...

...

Then there is the news...

used to watch it all the time...

These days, samo ole samo...

Some politicians grime...

...

The great thing 'bout this life...

I can change the channel...

Surfing through the cable shows...

while wearing just my flannel...

...

Remember that I said,

this is a holiday...

This is one that's just for me...

A very humorous piece with undertones of sarcasm... we know all about "couch potatoes " which according to health reports is a no no! but if one only does it on a certain day, then it's completely entitled...
you have created words that make me smile..all the soaps, games shows, ugly news, and you are getting some exercise in your fingers.... so potato on and enjoy!!!
