Repention

Repention

A Poem by Panhead Rod
"

A poem reflecting how actions lead to consequences...

"
...
Cannot swim in pity,
especially when self made.
Thickens just like jelly...
Translucent is it's shade.
...
Shouldn't swear on bible...
lest you don't believe.
Truth is but the word of man,
with nothing up his sleeve.
...
When you ruse a neighbor,
Friend or family,
it takes time, but in the end,
everyone may see.
...
Acts of petty theft,
thievery the same.
Just as bad as stealing money...
cheating at some game.
...
Politicians also bad...
Government that wastes.
Taxing working citizens,
spending it in haste.
...
None of us are perfect...
On that, we all agree.
When you're getting out of hand...
you must stop and see.
...
Principles have purpose.
Conscious cannot hide.
Eventually what you have done...
may eat you up inside.
...
Make amends to people,
treat them with real kindness.
Do not cross the line.
True justice has no blindness.
...
Put your past behind you.
Look now to the future...
Give your life a new direction...
Prudence you should nurture.
...
These few thoughts may just keep
your soul from falling further....
...
