A Poem by Panhead Rod
"

A poem giving escape to the burden of laboring...

"
...
Early in the morning...
long drive to the job,
then arriving a half hour early...
Sitting in the parking lot...
Searching for the energy to begin...
Radio plays the blues...
The moon still glowing...
It's light reflecting...
as rain trickles down the windshield...
Each drop merging with the next...
Pondering each stream...
Capturing my attention,
while morning coffee's aroma soothes...
Washing away reality...
Rendering escape...
Dreaming of a better life...
Free of burden...
No demands...
Mind set in Lala Land...
as the clock ticks...
Minutes running down...
like the raindrops on the window...
...
