Coming Home

Coming Home

A Poem by Panhead Rod
"

A poem reflecting sacrifices made by those who serve...

"
...
May you all find peace... in your evening's state...
with warm winds a blowing, and things goin' great.
As you close your eyes, remember our vets...
who made sacrifices with no regrets.
keeping us safe, guarding our ways...
away from their loved ones everyday...
Pray they're secure and out of harms road...
that they make it home, and lighten their load...
That they too find peace, sanity, grace...
and manage to always have smiles on their face...
If you know someone who's now coming home...
shake their hand thank you, and give them a welcome...

Nothing is ever the same - nor can be. Each diverges on their own paths and the perceptions diverge as well. Some stand and protect the flock but the flock is the flock all the same.
