Flower Seeds

Flower Seeds

A Poem by E.A. Archer

They will fight you, he said.

They will fight you in every moment and in everything

But they don’t know the sweet smell of smoke

The Flower seeds in a cigar box

The roads and reels we used

The linoleum floor

The reflection in the floor

Coke floats and reclining chairs

Buttered muffins

6 AM waking up

Wings

Feathers

Or Flying
