Forbidden Love

Forbidden Love

A Poem by R. L. Ambar

Forbidden love stems from the black part of your heart

That want and urge that moves your eyes to that you should not see

Your ears to that you should no hear

Your hands to touch the very untouchable

So slowly it unravels, winding down through out

Such rare movements, so slow, so precise

You can feel their breath upon your bare skin

You can feel them watching you

A want burns from there eyes

Such are these games

That follow with such daring thoughts,

In my mind, forbidden is only a word

Not a consequence

For in my mind, you caress my pale pink skin

embrace my lips with your own

Delve into that of which I cannot describe

Forbidden love,

is not something to be toyed with

Nor something to be misjudged

It is only man kind after all,

That labels it with such disgrace.

Ok, I'm really bad when it comes to giving reviews, terrible at it. Most probably because I'm somewhat new to writing. But this passage was just awesome...

"It is only man kind after all,
That labels it with such disgrace."

I loved that! Nice poem.

Relatable on many levels. Nicely done. I love the flow of this poem, such grace. Each line compliments the next.

Very nice, intresting, what is a forbidden love is? ... is it really only on men mind/ or is more internal feeling, what is good and what is bad, who is really able to tell. Forbidden love, is when you touch the untouchable, whn you smell the forbidden smell, of hot loving nights, secrets and passion ... thanks for your words, it really a moving writting

Really well written. It's so beautiful and true. Mankind is one word though. I think this can relate to everyone, because everyone always wanted somebody that they couldn't have. Amazing. Keep writing like this.

interesting point of view. What constitutes forbidden in your eyes M'lady? Flouting convention taking what does not belong to you
It is quite possible to love someone who is happily married to someone else.Without ever being able to do anything about it. Stolen fruit may be sweet but usually leaves a bitter aftertaste. Single footloose and fancy free you do as you wish without causing anyone else suffering. But once committed to a relationship I believe that should be exclusive. Maybe I am just old fashioned

an awesome write....
the desire for the unattainable is a pleasure in itself ...as you beautifully deciphered... it may be from the black part of the heart...yet still it is from our own heart... faults forming the very basis of human nature..vices and virtues being the inseparable siblings...

i loved the lines..
Forbidden love stems from the black part of your heart
and
In my mind, forbidden is only a word
Not a consequence

looking forward to more from you...

take care and please keep smiling.. :)
tanu.. :)

This was really good--you did a good job of capturing the wanting of somebody you cannot have, which is what we can all relate to. However, I caught a spelling mistake--the "a want burns from there eyes" should be "a want burns from their eyes." Also, there's no space between "man" and "kind."
