Black Ties

My attempt at writing song lyrics. I'm trying to protray a male chacter who has recently experienced the death of his lover and now he's questioning their relationship,life,death, and the full circle.

I’m lost in a prison

Built from my lack of wisdom.

But these walls are so tall and there is no escape.

There isn’t enough rope… so she will stay lost in her prime…

Never tell her how you feel,

Make it so she won’t know what is real.

Just f**k her... Over.

Feed her full of lies,

And she will fall in love with your disguise.

Why am I so high?

I’m filled with hatred and trapped in this disguise.

Longing to be lost in space…

There are no guarantees

And so, I avoid women to stay free of disease.

We’ll never be in the same place…

They’ll stare at your expressionless face,

Never to understand why your all over the place.

She was once here…

I came on real strong,

She was to good and it would end before long.

Now she’s lost out in the lithosphere…

I did some rewriting and noticed I also messed the rhyme scheme up in the second verse so I corrected that. Funny what you don't notice right away during proof reading. I also changed the title to Black Ties.
