September

September

A Poem by Robyn

Glorious summer, you faded.

You left behind the freckles and the memories.

Now I stand alone,
cooled by the last of the August breeze.

Things change.

The ending means a brand new start.

I’m not sure if I’m ready.

Old friends gone,
but new ones come.

Things change.

It’s getting colder.

The time has come.

Forget the past.

Dream of the new.

Things change.

I miss our friendship.

I miss the love.

I wonder how you are.

Let it go, let it go.

Things change.

Ooh, I feel the climate outside changing as I read this. It's as if you've captured the essence of September. Well done.

I don't think we're ever quite ready to move on with life. It has too many roots into the beauty of our memories. I love how you make us feel it here.

Mother Teresa: "Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."

This is beautiful, I absolutely love it. Like Alana said, you can really feel the emotion in this poem. Great job.

You can really feel this poem, feel as the air gets colder, and feel the spirit grow colder as well. I really love how you led up to the final stanza. Beautiful :)
