Heroes of earth.

Heroes of earth.

A Poem by Robert Michael Miller Jr.
"

I speak of a futuristic post apocalyptic battlefield where human makes it's last defense to survive against an unknown enemy.

"
The days all fade away as the world turns to grey
The billions turn to millions and there's no more yesterday
This is when we find there is nowhere left to hide
The world has finally shown it's true dark side
The hounds scatter wide and begin to make sound
The human race slowly is nowhere to be found

From the dark emerges those willing to fight
Bearing weapons and revealing more and more within sight
The resistance is here, to fight, to persevere
Not long from now, it's clear the end is near
We will never accept this endeavor
You cannot end our race, no matter how clever

Extinction is near, So spoke the Seer
The human race doesn't give up, that is clear
As bodies fell the battlefield resembled hell
But those who survived are heroes and their story I do tell.

I really like this piece, it speaks volumes of man's will to survive. Almost could be described as darkly inspiring. I have one critique for you though. Honestly and this is just my perspective and you are the artist here, but I felt the ending was a little lack luster given the immense talent this piece demonstrates to me. I was looking for a bang to end this but I felt it fell a little short of the epic nature of this piece. Of course again just a thought and the main point is this is in my humble opinion a masterful piece.
