The Feather

This is a poem I wrote about the girl I've loved the most in my life, She is lost to me forever now and this was my way of expressing how I'd do anything to be with her again.

The Feather, the feather never tethers.

It reminds me of forever,

The time we were meant to spend together.

With a feather we could fly high and reach our dreams so high up in the sky

But with that feather I'd rather chase forever,

and bridge the gap we've grown apart,

For you've become my dream, possibly just an obsession, maybe even obscene

but your lost love for me could bring peace and fulfill my long lost dreams.

What is your 'feather'?

A feather symbolizes to me something I, as a human, am missing. Something I long for to make the impossible possible. For a bird the feather is widely known as a symbol for flight, something many humans dream of being able to do freely. But that has been proven quite impossible.

So in my poem I am symbolizing this "Feather" as a tool to do the impossible and regain my lost love that I will never regain. It's a poem about hope, and love. It's rather quite tragic. There is a lot of hidden meaning in this poem for me. Thank you for asking.
