The evil of the dark mind

The evil of the dark mind

A Poem by Robert Michael Miller Jr.

My mind be a mind of shadow and gloom
not one person can reveal my thoughts untombed
the light you provide cannot reveal in my dark
this mind of mine is my mind of my own
not a single one person could ever have known

These thoughts I think tremble and weep
I lay her down slow, in her permanent sleep
never again will you think of me

Your breathing haunts me now, through the night
There is not a way that I could make things right
I haunt again, I move on to the next

she falls in my lap almost like its fate
little does she know, this is far more than a date
The voices inside tell me to put her to sleep
but finally I break down, spare her life, and take one last leap..

I really enjoyed reading this. It was dark, and twisted(But in a good way). Great job :)

I love to write all genres and about all things. Mystery/Thrillers are some of my favorite things to read. I love Edgar Allen Poe and I feel like a lot of my style of writing is based on what I learn .. more..
